Our Board & Policy Council
Our Board
The ACGC Board is comprised of six Directors, each representing one of Australia’s key chicken growing states: Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, and Tasmania. This diverse representation ensures the interests and perspectives of growers from around the country are reflected in ACGC’s decisions.
The Board directs the ACGC by setting the organisation’s strategic direction, ensuring good governance, and overseeing operations. Directors work together to prioritise the sustainability and growth of contract chicken and turkey growers across Australia. Their leadership upholds ACGC’s integrity, accountability, and role as Australia’s leading body for contract chicken and turkey growers.
The Policy Council
The ACGC’s policy development is strengthened by the valuable insight and active involvement of our Policy Council—a broad assembly of chicken growers who collectively represent major chicken-producing regions across Australia. This consultative body brings together growers from a diverse range of farm sizes, backgrounds, and experiences, ensuring that policy decisions reflect the realities and needs of the contract growing industry nationwide.
The Policy Council convenes as needed to examine and discuss emerging industry challenges, review key ACGC initiatives, and provide considered, practical advice to shape our policy direction. Through these collaborative sessions, Council members offer their perspectives on regulatory developments, commercial pressures, sustainability opportunities, and technological advancements affecting the sector.
